NFL Preview: St. Louis Rams

2010 Record: 7-9

Offense:

Bradford compiled 3,512 yards, 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions despite playing with one of the worst groups if WRs ever in the NFL. A lot of QBs go through a sophomore slump (Matt Ryan), but I don't think this will be the case for Sam Bradford. Josh McDaniels joins the team, and although he didn't do well as a head coach he is still one of the better offensive minds in the game. I think he can help bring Bradford to the next level. I was a little let down they didn't give more for Bradford to work with this offseason. Obviously, he still has Steven Jackson running behind him, but the only real addition to the WR core is Mike Sims-Walker, who is better then what they had (other then Danny Amendola), but still nothing special. They did improve the offensive line adding Harvey Dahl was one of the best linemen on the market.

Defense:

The Rams are known to be a poor defensive team, but last year they were actually ranked 12th in the NFL. Chris Long had 8 1/2 sacks last year, and I could easily see him getting over 10 this year, and on the other side James Hall had 10.5 sacks. If you get pressure on the QB your whole unit gets better. Rams lost free safety O.J. Atogwe to Washington, but the addition of Quintin Mikell should help soften that blow. James Laurinaitis is going to need to have a big year in the middle as the Rams look for players to eat up tackles.

Overall:

Not a lot of "stars" on this team, but in a weak division is a team that could certainly make the playoffs. Bradford is only going to get better, but they really should've brought in more talent around him.

2011 Record: 9-7
