Welcome Back Jack
With his team in complete free-fall, Edwin Rodriguez stepped down as manager of the Florida Marlins on Sunday. This left the door open for one of my favorite managers of all time 80 year old Jack McKeon. The last you saw of the cigar smoking coach was when he led the 2003 Florida Marlins to a World Series over the New York Yankees.
I don't know if he will be able to do anything magical with this team who have been downright awful lately, but it will be fun to watch. With josh Johnson being out for the foreseeable future and Hanley Ramirez not playing like himself it'll be tough, but who knows, maybe the old dog has one more ace up his sleeve.
