Steelers Land Lamarr Woodley To A Monster Deal

Why isn't this in the Around The NFL post? Because the 2012 Superbowl Champs deserve their own post.

Steelers Pro Bowl linebacker LaMarr Woodley has signed a six-year, $61.5 million contract that is thought to be the second-highest deal in team history behind only Ben Roethlisberger's ESPN

Lamarr Woodley is a beast and deserves all the money he got. He has 39 sacks in 4 seasons and is one of the best line backers in the NFL and one of the best pass rushers figuring he's got double figure sacks the passed 3 years.

The reason this deal happened is because both Ben Roethlisberger and James Harrison restructured their deals so they could get under the cap. It's good to see a classy franchise that actually signs their franchised players instead of just fucking them every year.
