God Hates The Giants (UPDATED)

We already had reports that Umenyiora is undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, and will most likely miss at least week 1 of the regular season. Now they get word that cornerback Terrell Thomas tore his right ACL will likely miss the entire season. Rookie Prince Amukamara is currently out with a broken left foot, and Bruce Johnson was lost for the year early in training camp after rupturing his Achilles. You add that to the loss of Steve Smith, and the fact you're QB is a huge douchebag and is hopped up on angel dust, and it sounds like it's going to be a long year for the G-Men.

If you listen closely you can actually hear our friend Scott Beer screaming.

***UPDATED***

The New York Giants' Brian Witherspoon learned TODAY that he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He will also be out for the year.

Osi Umenyiora To Have Surgery

News just keeps getting better and better for the Giants...

Giants has announced that Umenyiora is undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Friday, and the recovery is expected to take three to four weeks.

Ohhhhh so that's why no one wanted to give up a first round pick. Sounds like he will most likely miss at least week 1 of the regular season. I guess in the grand scheme of things it isn't that big of a deal, but this team just can't seem to catch a break. Steve Smith is gone, they made basically no major pickups, Eli Manning is off his rocker doing angel dust and calling himself Tom Brady, and now your best pass rusher is not only pissed off at the entire franchise, but hurt as well.

Yuck.

Breaking News: Eli Manning Tries Angel Dust

We don't have any pictures yet of him doing this hardcore drug, but after reading this quote it's just a matter of time...

Eli Manning talking about who is in Tom Brady's class... ""I consider myself in that class," Manning said on New York’s ESPN 1050. "And Tom Brady is a great quarterback, he's a great player and what you've seen with him is he's gotten better every year. He started off winning championships and I think he's a better quarterback now than what he was, in all honesty, when he was winning those championships."

Wait... Did ShEli Manning just say he is in the same class as Tom Brady? Wow, this angel dust stuff must be damn strong.

There are only 2 other people right now that are in Tom Brady's "class"... Ben Roethlisberger and Peyton Manning. Ben because of his winning ways (not just in pinning women to the floor), and Peyton because he is up there for a lot of records and has a ring.

ShEli you got lucky and won a ring. Good for you, but you really need to humble yourself. You won because your WR pulled a catch out of his ass, and what have you done since? I'll tell you what you have done... nothing. You threw 25 picks last year!!!! If you combined all Brady's seasons from 2007 through 2010 he threw 25 picks. God, if it wasn't for Barstool Sports throwing up Brady's kid's dong pics you would be on the top of his shit list.

Osi Umenyiora Ends Holdout

In an email to The Associated Press on Sunday evening, the two-time Pro Bowl defensive end (Osi Umenyiora) said he plans to practice on Monday at training camp, and that he will play this season under the terms of his current contract.

This is the first good news the Giants have had all offseason. After getting burned by Steve Smith, really getting no big offseason pickups, the Giants needed some good news. Umenyiora when healthy is one of the best DL in the league, the problem is I don't know how much I trust that he can stay on the field. That is why no one was willing to give up a first round pick for him. Still, the Giants have to be happy to have him back on their team, no matter how pissed off he is.

Steve Smith Pulls A Fast One On NY

I love it, I absolutely love it. How could anyone not be excited about seeing the Eagles play?

Yesterday they signed former Giant Steve Smith to a 1 year 5 million dollar deal. You have to laugh about absolutely awful this offseason has been for the Giants. Not only have they had to watch the Philadelphia Eagles load up on free agents and trades at a crazy pace, but they lost tight end Kevin Boss to the Oakland Raiders, first-round cornerback Prince Amukamara is out for an undetermined length of time with a foot injury, and defensive end Osi Umenyiora is pissed about his current contract and would like to go elsewhere.

This is a great move for the Eagles who may be without for Jeremy Maclin for a little bit. But signing another pro bowl receiver to a squad that already has Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant and Brent Celek is awesomely overkill.

The Eagles have ruled the offseason and their is nothing anyone else could do about it.

Umenyiora Could Need Knee Surgery

Wondering why no one is jumping on a deal for Giants DE Osi Umenyiora...

"The Giants informed reporters tonight Umenyiora has been sitting out because “he says he has a sore knee,” according to the team’s public relations staff. The key part there, of course, is the “he says” in that statement. Though the team says it has no reason to believe he isn’t in pain, it is clearly separating itself from the diagnosis.

A person familiar with Umenyiora’s status said he is dealing with a meniscus cartilage issue that, as The Wall Street Journal reported today, could require surgery. The person requested anonymity because the extent of the injury has not been made public (CBS Sports)."

Could be that he is just being a baby and this is his way of holding out of camp, but he has had a bunch injuries in the past and I think that's why teams are not jumping all over him. He is a hell of a player, but when a team is asking for a first round pick and he has these kind of concerns you're not going to see a lot of teams taking them up on that offer.

Plaxico Burress to Giants, Steelers?

Apparently the gun toting wide receiver has his selection of where he wants to go whittled down to 2 teams, The Steelers and the Giants.

I'm not a big fan of Plaxico and don't really want him, but if he comes to the Steelers he can't hurt. At the end of the day he's 6-5 and would be a huge target for Ben in redzone situations.

He spent 5 years in Pittsburgh before the Giants so who knows, it could work, but I don't see him getting more than 600 yards.

I'm going to ignore this, but if Plaxico came back home, I guess I would be alright with it.

Well, Thats David Tyree For You

That's David Tyree saying he would give up "the catch" if it meant ending all gay marriage.

Yup, people feel that strongly about this type of stuff. I don't get it, what am I missing that people care this much that 2 people that have no relevance to you and your daily life want to get married? I can't even go off calling him an asshole, scumbag, etc, because his ignorance is already doing enough damage to him.
